Learning Outcomes

As part of our accreditation by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, the University of Oregon is required to identify and publish expected course, program, and degree learning outcomes. Learning outcomes for degrees and programs offered by academic units in the College of Arts and Sciences are posted below. Learning outcomes for individual courses are provided in written form on syllabi to enrolled students.

Click on the department or program name below to download a pdf of learning outcomes specific to that department or program. Those documents labeled as Curriculum Maps include learning outcomes, the course mapping grid and, when applicable, the departmental rationale for general education courses in one comprehensive document.  These postings will be continually updated as academic units submit revisions.
