Current UO Students
Our undergraduate degree programs are among the most popular at the university. We begin by introducing you to the root causes, impacts and solutions to environmental issues from disciplinary perspectives. In upper division courses, you can explore in depth the concepts you find interesting and examine themes across disciplines. An interdisciplinary capstone course and a practical learning experience push you to apply your knowledge and prepare for meaningful work in a growing job sector.
How to Apply to Graduate Programs
Students thrive in the Environmental Studies graduate programs because it is truly interdisciplinary. The courses and curriculum are flexible yet rigorous, and every degree path and research project is tailored specifically for each student. Graduate students design their own individualized course plan and select faculty mentors from across the university. This allows you to explore problem areas that cut across different disciplines and to gain a unique combination of skills for the job market or further education.
