Why did you join USAB? I decided to join USAB because I want to learn how decisions around student life and academics are being made. I am specifically interested in psychology, and I think being on USAB will give me the opportunity to explore as well as advocate for how we can make decisions that will positively impact the undergraduate study body at UO and their mental health.

Why did you join USAB? I’m a third-year Human Physiology major involved in Alzheimer’s and cardiovascular research, community service through DuckCorps, and the Asklepiads pre-med society. I joined USAB to help amplify student voices, strengthen communication between students and faculty, and advocate for an inclusive, engaging college experience for all CAS undergraduates.

Why did you join USAB? I am a senior studying Political Science, Italian, and Global Studies. I joined USAB to make a meaningful impact by promoting inclusivity and opportunity here on campus for all students, especially BIPOC students. I am honored to collaborate with my fellow students on how to make our campus more supportive and receptive to the needs of students. My main goal in this role is to improve communication and transparency surrounding scholarships.

Why did you join USAB? I joined USAB to better the student experience through expanding knowledge of and access to resources for all kinds of needs. I am excited to provide input as someone with diverse experiences and connections to multiple disciplines/subjects. Representation from all kinds of students is important to me, whether that's academically, professionally, identity, or otherwise, and I hope to achieve that on USAB.

Why did you join USAB? I am a fourth-year CHC student in Neuroscience and Human Physiology. I research absence epilepsy in the McCormick lab, founded the Literature in STEM (LIST) book club, tutor organic chemistry, am president of Medicine & Ministry, and a phlebotomist at University Health Services. I joined the board to advocate for interdisciplinary coursework, administrative transparency, and improved accessibility.

Why did you join USAB? I am currently an ARC TA, on the board of Civic Impact Coalition, and the PPPM student advisory board. I joined USAB to advocate, enact change, and increase awareness of resources available to CAS students. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy hiking, reading, and baking.

Why did you join USAB? I am a third year Neuroscience student, minoring in Chemistry. During my time at UO, I have studied abroad in Italy, competed on the Equestrian Club, and participated in a variety of student organizations. As an out-of-state student, I joined USAB to create a welcoming environment for those far from home and to support others in building a meaningful and connected life on campus.

Why did you join USAB? I joined USAB to support others in science who’ve struggled to find opportunities for growth. I now have a job I love and professors I admire, but I had to work hard for it without much guidance. I value being around those who think like me in science—but also those who think differently—so I can be a better advocate for all types of students and friends.

Why did you join USAB? I applied to the CAS USAB because I want to help make the university and college I’m proud of a better, more inclusive place. As a first-generation student and someone who benefited greatly from the AEC office, I’m passionate about advocating for equity and ensuring all students, including those with disabilities, can access the resources they need. In my short time at UO, I’ve come to deeply value the diverse campus community and want to give back by amplifying voices that are often unheard. USAB gives me the opportunity to contribute meaningfully, grow alongside a diverse team, and use my leadership and service experience to support and uplift others. I’m truly grateful for the chance to be involved.

Why did you join USAB? I joined USAB in an effort to both bolster my teamwork and leadership skills by working with a variety of people from different disciplines, and to advocate for accessibility within the STEM majors offered at CAS. I am passionate about broadening comfortability and access to research opportunities for STEM students, and building community within these fields so that our students have a network of like-minds to work with and learn from.

Why did you join USAB? I am a fourth-year Political Science and Environmental Studies student, minoring in Philosophy. As a Wayne Morse Scholar, Fossil Free UO co-lead, and former SURF and Environmental Justice Fellow, I am interested in democratic practice and protecting liberal arts education. Outside academics, I am a waiter, skater, and Eugene community member.
