Research Interests: Plale is on the Board of Directors of the DONA Foundation, past member of the NASA Earth Science Advisory Board, and chairs the External Advisory Board for the iHARP Institute.
Plale's research interests are in distributed and high performance computing, human and technological cyberinfrastructure for AI, AI policy and ethics, open science, provenance & reproducibility, data accountability.
