Recent Bits

With artificial intelligence permeating scientific research, I return to the 2024 paper that Sadia Khan, Alfonso Morales, and I wrote about convergence research on AI in cyberinfrastructure and AI for AI infrastructure. The study targets democratized AI as a goal, and towards that aim captures the overall context of how software development takes place in AI infrastructure research. It was a thought provoking study when we undertook it, and remains every bit relevant today.
