How to Schedule a Pre-Health Appointment

UO Pre-Health Advising serves prospective, current and pre-health alumni up to 3 years after graduation. Pre-Health Alumni may call the Tykeson Front Desk to schedule an appointment.

Appointments are available via phone, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or In-Person throughout the academic year, including Winter, Spring and Summer breaks.

Current Students:

In-person, virtual (Teams or Zoom), and phone appointments are available. 

We recommend scheduling your appointment early (during weeks 2-5). We shift to drop-in during week 8-9 for registration support. Visit our drop-in hours if you have an urgent question or need support with class scheduling.

Navigate Scheduling Instructions:

  1. Log into NAVIGATE: Use your Duck ID to login)
  2. Click on “Schedule an Appointment” in the upper right-hand corner
  3. Choose “Tykeson College and Career Advising and College of the Arts and Science” in the first drop-down box.
  4. Select the appointment "topic" by selecting one of the following from the Pre-Health Advising drop-down list:
  • “Pre-Health – Exploring Pre-Health”: Use if exploring health interests and have questions about where to start 
  • “Pre-Health – Academic Questions": Use for questions about pre-requisites and academic readiness concerns (e.g. GPA or considering repeating a prerequisite). 
  • “Pre-Health – Extracurricular Planning": Use this for questions around building a strong resume (e.g. volunteering, research, shadowing) 
  • “Pre-Health – Preparing to Apply”: Use for questions about application components (entrance exams like the MCAT, application timing) or for questions about deciding where to apply, the process, and competitiveness
  • “Pre-Health – Apply Now Questions”: Use for specific questions about your application (e.g. submitting transcripts, entering coursework) 
  • “Pre-Health – Grad Essay Review”: Use for graduate admission essay reviews (e.g. personal statement, secondary essays, extracurricular descriptions) 
  • “Pre-Health – Interview Preparation": Use for mock interviews (MMI or Traditional)
