Undergraduate graduating students may be eligible for receiving Latin honors.

  • Latin honors are based on cumulative GPA and require students to have completed all degree requirements and have earned at least ninety credits in residence at the University of Oregon.
  • Latin honors are computed during graduation processing, before degrees are conferred.
  • Post-baccalaureate students are not eligible for Latin honors.

The GPAs for each level of honors are as follows:

  • Summa: must be 3.95 or higher
  • Magna: must be between 3.85 and 3.94
  • Cum: must be between 3.75 and 3.84

Students will be notified of honors sometimes after May 2026. At that point, students will be able to purchase a honors cord at the Duck Store.
