Polet Campos-Melchor is a PhD Candidate in Anthropology and a Graduate Certificate student in WGSS at the University of Oregon. She graduated from California State University, Fresno, with her BA in Anthropology and Women and Gender Studies, where she was a McNair Scholar and 2017-2018 CSU Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Scholar. She holds an MA in Anthropology from the University of Oregon. She works with queer migrants around love and kitchen practices. Her research explores how queer migrants articulate strategies of belonging and love, expanding beyond only the imaginary into tangible strategies of survival.
