Biography

Oliver Hillenkamp is a researcher and artist interested in the ways humans have been in relation with and told stories about their ecologies in a variety of contexts. These inquiries include topics such as ecological mythology and folklore, environmental humanities, and traditional ecological knowledge. He is particularly fascinated by plant lore and the fundamental roles of plants in global and historical cultures. With a background in cultural anthropology and currently pursuing a Folklore MA, Oliver is also a visual artist and enthusiast for foraging, exploring, and music.
