Biography

I am a first-year PhD student in History and social ecologist from Southern Oregon. I was born in the Umpqua Valley and grew up between Roseburg, Glide, and Ashland. I have also previously lived in Greensboro, North Carolina as well as Los Angeles, California, where I respectively worked for the Elsewhere Museum and the Los Angeles Contemporary Archive. I have formal education in art history, art & social practice, museum studies, design & media arts, and social philosophy, with further training in digital information and archival studies.

I am a co-steward of the Community Reading Group, a weekly study circle focused on the concept of community as a political category, supported by the Los Angeles Contemporary Archive. I am also affiliated with the Institute for Social Ecology.
