Biography

Charlotte Chang is an Assistant Professor in Data Science at the University of Oregon, and is affiliated with the Institute for Ecology and Evolution. Chang's research focuses on global biodiversity conservation and climate change mitigation. Her lab develops and applies AI, natural language processing, and machine learning (ML) algorithms to social-ecological systems data to explore the welfare impacts of conservation interventions and help broad sets of stakeholders better steward the environment.
