Biography

Annalise is a fifth year PhD candidate in Cultural Anthropology. She holds a BA in International Affairs and Spanish from the University of Nevada, Reno and an MA in Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona. Her MA research focused on LGBT organization and activism in relation to violence in El Salvador. Annalise has also worked on topics of criminalization, migration, and asylum among Central American migrants both in Arizona and in Oregon. Her current areas of research include environmental activism, ecofeminism, and gender and queer activism in El Salvador.
