Education

David T. C. Allcock received his MPhys degree from the University of Oxford in 2007 and his D.Phil. from Oxford in 2012.  He joined the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Ion Storage Group in Boulder, CO as a Lindemann Fellow in 2013.   His research focuses on using electric and magnetic fields to  manipulate the quantum state of atomic and molecular systems for quantum computing applications.

David joined the University of Oregon as an Assistant Professor in the Fall of 2018.  The website for his ion trap lab group can be found here: https://ions.uoregon.edu
