Research Interests

Victoria Braun is a Project Manager in the Center for Translational Neuroscience. In addition to managing the Healthy Eating Study, an R01 Research Project Grant through the National Institute of Health and National Cancer Institute, she acts as a project launch consultant for other faculty researchers in CTN. She is a Certified Scrum Master for the Social and Affective Neuroscience Lab, implementing LabScrum, a process framework developed to manage work in academic scientific research. She is an MRI Operator at the Lewis Center for NeuroImaging. She is currently the Graduate Coordinator for the Online Master's in Psychology program. Victoria considers her most accurate job title to be Science Doula. 


The Healthy Eating Study aims to reduce the incidence of food- and obesity-related cancers by identifying the mechanisms of action and moderators of efficacy of two interventions to reduce intake of foods that increase cancer risk.

Prior to working at the University of Oregon, Victoria worked at Washington State University, managing university suicide prevention efforts and promoting health and wellbeing in students. Victoria got her Master’s degree from Oregon State University, focusing in social cognitive psychology and Buddhist philosophy.
