Schnitzer School of Global Studies and Languages

Four College of Arts and Sciences faculty members will discuss the social impact of research during the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI) Week of Research and Innovation. The event is 10:30 am to noon Wednesday, April 8, at the Cedar and Spruce rooms in the Erb Memorial Union.

CAREER PREPARATION — Tasked with meeting the College of Arts and Sciences career preparation goal, Assistant Dean for Career Preparation Yifang Zhang developed and implemented the Career Leaders Program. The program focuses on providing tools and resources to reframe and elevate the school's existing effort in career preparation in classrooms.

GLOBAL STUDIES — Learning about and engaging in the world got a little easier for students at University of Oregon thanks to a grant from the US Department of Education awarded to the Schnitzer School of Global Studies and Languages. The grant funds are being used to strengthen curriculum for current students and attract the next generation of globally minded students from Oregon high schools. 

GRADUATE STUDIES - The work of writing a dissertation can be overwhelming, which is why it's important to find innovative ways for students to develop a plan for success. This summer the graduate studies team hosted a bootcamp filled with advice to help make the dissertation writing process easier, more efficient and more enjoyable.
